Over the last few years fans have gotten used to seeing wrestlers undergo name changes when they get called up to the main roster, and last year Pete Dunne was called up. Dunne’s name was changed to Butch when he joined The Brawling Brutes on SmackDown which is the name he’s been using ever since.
Fans certainly haven’t forgotten about the fact that Pete Dunne was having quite the run before his name was changed to Butch, and the former NXT UK Champion seemingly teased that he could be reverting back to the Pete Dunne name when he posted the following on Twitter:

It was recently reported that Triple H has been planning to change Butch back to Pete Dunne ever since he took over creative for WWE last year. However, The Game decided to hold off because The Brawling Brutes were catching on with the fans. The expectation is that Pete Dunne will be Pete Dunne once again before the year is over.
