You never know what you’re going to see when you tune into Monday Night Raw, and this week’s episode of the show featured a heated altercation between Chad Gable and Penta. After the two stars crossed paths things quickly got physical as Penta hit Gable with The Sacrifice after he got him to the ground.
Bodyslam.net is reporting that the angle with Chad Gable and Penta was done on Raw because Gable is currently dealing with an undisclosed injury. It’s being said that the angle was done as a way to write Gable off TV or reduce his workload while he recovers.
At this point in time there’s currently no word on the nature of the injury, or the timeline for Chad Gable’s return. The injury is undiclosed, but was reportedly significant enough that it required WWE to make a change.
Chad Gable has been heavily featured on Monday Night Raw over the last few years and he last wrestled on the show on the June 9th episode when he faced off against AJ Styles. El Grande Americano last stepped into the ring on June 17th when he faced Berto in a match for WWE Speed which saw El Grande Americano retain the WWE Speed Championship.
Stay tuned for more updates on Chad Gable’s status as they become available.
