Cody Rhodes Teases Major Heel Turn

Cody Rhodes made his big return to WWE at WrestleMania 38 back in 2022, and since then he’s been featured as one of the top babyfaces in the company.

During a recent conversation with Kay Adams at Fanatics Fest, Cody Rhodes was asked if he ever gets tired of being the nice guy, and he said that he doesn’t, but added he’s probably at the tail end of it. Kay Adams then questioned how she will know when it’s time for Cody to turn heel.

“You’ll know because X and Instagram will hate it. Because today, heels are like, oh, that’s a cool heel. We’re loving John Cena, no, if you’re if you’re burying it and hate it and talking about how you don’t want it on your TV that’s what an actual bad guy is.”

When Cody was asked how much longer we have until a potential turn he said, “I think you have a good solid year, maybe even three years, because I am not changing until I’m changed, if that makes any sense. My hair is naturally dark. I don’t know if I could go back. But if The Rock had it his way, I would have been changed already. So I think he sees something that maybe I don’t see, and that’s a very smart individual. So maybe I follow his lead. Maybe not.”

Cody Rhodes picked up a major win over Jey Uso in the King of the Ring semifinals during this week’s episode of Raw. He will now go on to face Randy Orton in the King of the Ring finals at Night of Champions and the winner of the match will earn a title shot at SummerSlam.

Stay tuned for updates.
