This week’s episode of NXT is shaping up to be a big one as the show is set to feature two title matches, and a triple threat match to determine the number one contender for the NXT Women’s Championship has also been confirmed for the show.
Ahead of tonight’s episode Lilian Garcia announced that she will be returning to the WWE Performance Center for the first time in a year when she posted the following:
“Have you heard? I will be announcing @wwe NXT tonight! 🤗🎤
It’s been over a year since I have been here at the performance center, so I am very excited to be back with all of you! Thank you for the beautiful welcome last time. Let’s have a blast tonight! 🥳📣”
Originally Layla Diggs was set to challenge Zaria for the NXT Women’s North American Championship during NXT tonight, but Robert Stone announced that Diggs has been pulled from the title match due to an injury she suffered at a recent live event in Sebring, Florida. Stone also confirmed that Zaria will still be defending her NXT Women’s North American Championship tonight. However, her opponent is unknown at this time.
The Vanity Project will defend the NXT Tag Team Championship against Sean Legacy & Dorian Van Dux, Naraku vs. Tate Wilder has been confirmed for the show, and Lola Vice, Kelani Jordan and Kali Armstrong are set to face off in a triple threat match to determine the number one contender for the NXT Women’s Championship.
Stay tuned for updates.
