Rusev was once an undefeated beast in both NXT and on the main roster which led to Rusev and Lana becoming quite popular with the WWE Universe, until his streak was unceremoniously ended by John Cena.
Earlier this year Rusev was forced out of action when it was revealed that he required shoulder surgery and Lana was then able to join the SmackDown Live women’s division and make a career for herself without Rusev by her side.
More recently, Rusev was defeated by John Cena in a flag match at Battleground before he was defeated in just ten seconds by Randy Orton at SummerSlam and since then there have been rumors that Rusev could be thinking about leaving WWE.
Rusev has begun tweeting cryptic messages on his social media account that has got the WWE Universe speculating that his time with the company could be coming to an end.
Rusev continued this last night when he tweeted the following:
Ok I'm going home…… goodbye America.

This was tweeted following his loss in the main event of SmackDown Live when he teamed with WWE Champion Jinder Mahal against Shinsuke Nakamura and Randy Orton.
There were also teases that Rusev could go after the WWE Championship in the future, so the hope is that Rusev is once again trolling the WWE Universe and he’s just heading home for some down time since there are still another six weeks to go until Hell in a Cell.
