Over the last few months WWE has signed some exciting names, and back in April former NXT Champion Aleister Black finally made his return to WWE programming. Since then Black has been working his way up the card on SmackDown and it sounds like WWE could have big plans for him.
PWInsider is reporting that there has been a lot of talk and praise regarding Aleister Black in WWE creative circles. It’s being said that there’s been a lot of discussion about raising Black’s profile on the Friday Night SmackDown brand.
This is reportedly the reason why Aleister Black has been interacting with so many different wrestlers on television as of late such as R-Truth and Damian Priest. The plan is to move Aleister Black upwards as the company is with his work and his merchandise sales. Black was originally earmarked to be elevated to the upper card years ago.
Aleister Black originally signed with WWE in 2016 and remained with the company until he was released in 2021. He then went on to sign with AEW shortly after, but he parted ways with the company earlier this year then returned to WWE.
