In recent weeks it seems that WWE has gotten very serious about bringing talents into the company as Dakota Kai, Karrion Kross, Dexter Lumis and Hit Row have all returned. Now it seems that WWE officials have their eyes on an AEW star.
Fightful Select is reporting that a notable AEW star who is currently under contract reported to AEW management that WWE reached out to them about joining the company. The talent made it clear that they’re happy with All Elite Wrestling and told management because they thought AEW higher-ups deserved to know.
The claim is that someone from WWE’s talent relations department contacted the AEW talent, and a source close to AEW indicated that they referred to call to their representation rather than speaking directly. It was noted that the claim was confirmed with the actual performer who prefers to remain anonymous.
Sources who are familiar with the situation added that there was no mistake about this performer already being under a full-time contract with AEW. So far WWE reps have not responded to a request for comment.
