This week on Monday Night Raw the WWE World Heavyweight Championship tournament kicked off on Raw this week and Cody Rhodes faced off against The Miz and Finn Balor in a triple threat match. It looked like Cody Rhodes had it won, but Brock Lesnar appeared and put Cody Rhodes through the announce table before challenging him to a match at Night of Champions.
Fightful Select reports that WWE piped in audio during the segment with Brock Lesnar and Cody Rhodes. Several people within the company thought that it wasn’t needed. It’s being reported that Brock Lesnar was disguised with two other large stagehands who got him ringside. A trunk was used to hide Lesnar.
The WRKD Wrestling account is also reporting that WWE described it as a “no-win scenario” regarding the fake crowd noise as the crowd responses in Jacksonville were thought to be lackluster.
