WrestleMania season has arrived and the big show is only a few months away. The card is slowly coming together as it was officially announced on Raw this week that Royal Rumble winner Jey Uso will be challenging Gunther for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship on the Grandest Stage of Them All.
Damian Priest ended up eliminating Drew McIntyre from the Royal Rumble, and it was recently reported that Drew is set to feud with Damian heading into WrestleMania. According to the report Drew is of the opinion that he deserves a more prominent feud following the best year of his career.
Dr. Chris Featherstone is reporting that WWE is aware of the online backlash in response to a potential Drew McIntyre vs. Damian Priest match at WrestleMania 41. It’s being said that the backlash has opened up internal discussions to reevaluate the current plan. There’s currently no word on what other options are being considered for Drew McIntyre’s WrestleMania match at this time.
