brock lesnar

There’s no denying that Brock Lesnar is a force to be reckoned with, but it’s been a while since fans have seen The Beast Incarnate on WWE programming. Lesnar defended the WWE Championship against Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania 36 last year, and he hasn’t been seen since he lost the match and dropped the belt to McIntyre.

Over the years there’s been a lot of talk about WWE possibly booking Brock Lesnar vs. Bobby Lashley, but it doesn’t look like the match will take place at SummerSlam.

Dave Meltzer noted on the Sunday Night’s Main Event podcast that as of last week Lashley vs. Lesnar was not planned for the SummerSlam pay-per-view in August.

It’s being said that it’s up to Vince McMahon when Brock Lesnar will be brought back, and that a match with Bobby Lashley could happen at any time, but it was not in the plans for SummerSlam as of last week.

It’s also being reported that there are people in WWE who don’t want Brock Lesnar to return until Roman Reigns is ready to feud with him, but at this point it’s not clear when that feud will happen.

The SummerSlam pay-per-view will take place from Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on Saturday, August 21 and you can get more details on plans for the main event here.
