There are several brands under the WWE umbrella right now which means that there are a number of championships spread across the brands. NXT has its fair share of titles, but it appears that one championship associated with the NXT brand has been quietly retired.

Fans have noticed that the NXT Heritage Cup championship has been removed from the champions section on WWE’s official website. The Heritage Cup was still featured in the section as of May 2026, but it is no longer there.

The NXT Heritage Cup was originally introduced in September of 2020 as a secondary championship for the NXT UK brand. Axiom was the first person to win the title in November of 2020, and Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo was the last person to win the title in June of 2025.

It’s been some time since the NXT Heritage Cup has been featured on WWE programming as Tony D’Angelo threw the title off a bridge in July of 2025.

In addition to Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo, other names who have held the NXT Heritage Cup include Noam Dar, Mark Coffey, Nathan Frazer, Tony D’Angelo, Lexis King, Tyler Bate and Charlie Dempsey.

As of this writing WWE has yet to make any officially announcements regarding the status of the title, but it seems that the NXT Heritage Cup has been retired officially.
