There have been rumblings about a WWE Women’s Tournament in the past. There was actually a thought they’d get to doing it before the WWE United Kingdom Championship Tournament. But the World Of Sports television show seemed to kick that into gear much faster so the Women’s Tournament was put on the back burner.
But, it is now official. WWE will be putting on a Women’s Tournament during the summer of 2017. Triple H made the announcement today alongside Stephanie McMahon, Raw Women’s Champion Bayley, SmackDown Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss, and NXT Women’s Champion Asuka. Needless to say, people were more than excited for this long-awaited news.
One thing we found puzzling is although practically every woman on WWE’s roster was shown in the graphic during the announcement, Paige was absent. Of course, Eva Marie wasn’t there but word is she’s not going to be with WWE much longer anyway. So, that was expected.
But, the anti-diva should be recuperated from her neck surgery by the summer, or at least we would think so. But obviously, WWE doesn’t think she will be recovered from a public relations stand point by then.
Still, this is extremely exciting and we can’t wait. Let’s just hope the winner of the tournament can use the prestigious victory in order to launch herself to another level.

What would you do the day before you’re supposed to fight “The Eater Of Worlds” Bray Wyatt at WrestleMania in a WWE World Championship match? Well, if you’re The Viper Randy Orton then you’d be hanging out at Universal Studios.
Randy Orton posted a social media post while spending some time with his family at Universal Studios. It’s great to see The Viper can relax the day before such an important encounter like the one he’s sure to find at WrestleMania 33.
Let’s just hope Randy stays away from The Impact Zone while he’s at Universal Studios because that enemy territory is out of bounds for a WWE superstar.
