Every wrestling fan knows that commentary can enhance a match in a big way, and Michael Cole has been one of the lead commentators in WWE for decades now. Michael Cole first started working with WWE in 1997, and it doesn’t sound like he’ll be parting ways with the company anytime soon.

The Ringer is now reporting that Michael Cole signed a new deal with WWE in the spring. Details regarding the length of the contract are unknown, but it’s being said that the deal will keep him with WWE for the foreseeable future.

Last year Michael Cole addressed his future with World Wrestling Entertainment, and he indicated that he will be looking to slow down when he turns 60 in a few years.

“I’m gonna be married 30 years, so if I want it to last longer than that, I’m probably going to have to stop at some point. But no, it won’t be anytime soon. I still got a lot of work to do with this company. I mean, there’s still a lot of stuff to do. Still a lot of shows to call. I told somebody that I would [have lasted this long, I wouldn’t believe it.] You know, I’m 56 now, so 60 sounds like a pretty good age to maybe slow down a little bit.”

Currently Michael Cole is calling the action on Raw alongside Pat McAfee, but Pat McAfee is expected to take some time away from WWE in the months to come and you can get more on that here.
