Joe Hendry has been one of the most talked about stars on the WWE roster over the last few years, but he has not been appearing on Raw recently which has left many fans wondering what the former NXT Champion has been up to.
According to PWInsider, Joe Hendry is not injured, nor is he off TV due to creative reasons. The report notes that Hendry has been off TV because he’s filming a live action microdrama as part of WWE’s partnership with ReelShort.
Back in July WWE announced their partnership with ReelShort which would see them produce live-action microdramas for “mobile-first storytelling.” Drew McIntyre, Jacob Fatu and Joe Hendry are expected to be featured in the first series of microdramas which will be premiering in the fall.
Joe Hendry last wrestled on the August 3rd episode of Monday Night Raw when he was defeated by Bron Breakker. Prior to that he had formed an alliance with Danhausen which resulted in their song “I Believe That You Are Cursed” which debuted during a segment featuring Hendry, Danhausen, Dominik Mysterio, JD McDonagh and Ryan Garcia on the July 27th episode of Raw.
