AJ Styles officially retired from in-ring competition earlier this year when he was defeated by Gunther in a career threatening match at the Royal Rumble premium live event. Since then The Phenomenal One has been working behind the scenes for WWE, and he’s also been mentoring his son Avery Styles.
In recent weeks Avery Styles has been getting a lot of attention for his work on the independent circuit, and now he has found a new home. Avery appeared at the TNA Lockdown pay-per-view on Sunday and talked about how his father couldn’t have become who he became without TNA Wrestling. He then went on to announce that he has officially signed with the company.

After Avery made the announcement he was confronted by Frankie Kazarian who told Avery that he and his dad are like brothers. He also warned Avery that there’s a lot of snakes in the locker room, but he’s not one of them. Kazarian reiterated that there are a lot of people in TNA Wrestling that Avery can’t trust, but he’s not one of them.
