The times they are changing and things might very well have been helped along in Abu Dhabi on Thursday when Alexa Bliss and Sasha Banks competed in the first-ever women’s match in the United Arab Emeritus.

This was a ground-breaking event and resulted in praise throughout the pro wrestling community and the world alike. There has been a lot of momentum in the way of revolutionizing women’s wrestling in the past couple of years and this is a huge step to maintaining WWE’s visibility as a cutting-edge company.

Bliss and Banks had to wear full sleeves and tights during the match due to the conservative nature of their fans in Abu Dhabi, but the match was a smashing success.

The Chairman Of The Board was very happy about this amazing achievement and proclaimed how WWE is all about making moments. They certainly broke some big new ground this week in Abu Dhabi.

MLW: Never Say Never was an action-packed night of top-class independent wrestling but they had to pull it off without one advertised star. Laurel Van Ness/Chelsea Green was scheduled to take on Santana Garrett but had to pull out of the show due to an injury.

They were able to snag Leva Bates as her replacement so Santana Garrett still had a match. But the women some fans might know as Blue Pants in NXT didn’t fare too well against Garrett as she lost what was said to be a pretty good contest.

Green/Van Ness didn’t make the show. It’s unclear how she was injured or to what extent of pain she is in. But she was able to keep fans updated about her current goings-on as she looked forward to spending the day with her boyfriend Zack Ryder in Orlando.

Let’s hope Laurel Van Ness is able to get over whatever was bothering her. Since she apparently asked for her release from Impact Wrestling she might have to work the next set of Impact Wrestling television tapings in order to make that really happen. (Just in case she needs to drop the Knockouts Title that she has a match for next week against Rosemary.)
