The main event of WrestleMania saw Brock Lesnar defeat Roman Reigns to retain his Universal Championship. But in all reality, it looks like Brock Lesnar could have gone into business for himself a little bit.
There were previous reports saying that a verbal confrontation broke out between Vince McMahon and Brock Lesnar in the Gorilla Position backstage right after the main event concluded. Shane McMahon was said to have been there as well when Brock Lesnar threw the Universal Title at Vince McMahon’s general direction as first reported by Wrestle Votes.
But now there could be a reason why there was so much anger coming from the Chairman Of The Board. PW Torch reports Vince McMahon was irate over the use of blood in the main event match and the sloppy table spot as well.
Apparently, the blood that rushed from Roman Reigns’ forehead after a stiff and sharp elbow strike from Lesnar was not approved before the match and even though they totally showed it on television because there was no avoiding it, this was not part of the plan.
Vince McMahon also reportedly didn’t like the bump Roman Reigns took across the German announce table that they weren’t clued in on to alert their German associates beforehand. Although it’s not clear how the table spot ended up becoming a reality at this point there is no avoiding that it happened and the German commentary team had no chance to prepare for what took place.
As WrestleMania really sinks in the entire event as a whole might be a bit of a blur. But we have the same Universal Champion and he’s a Beast Incarnate no matter how much he might or might not get along with Vince McMahon right now.
Lesnar is at least traveling to Saudi Arabia to defend the Universal Title inside a solid steel cage at the Greatest Royal Rumble in a couple weeks. But who knows what kind of new deal Brock Lesnar recently signed that could possibly keep him around WWE even longer because according to Dana White he has contracts with both WWE and UFC right now.
