WrestleMania has been a very hot topic as of late thanks to all of the changes that have been made to WrestleMania 36, and earlier this week WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan celebrated the anniversary of his match with The Rock at WrestleMania 18.

Hogan called it one of the greatest WrestleMania matches of all time, and The Rock recently posted a video sharing some behind the scenes details on the match.

The Rock noted on Instagram that months before the match took place Vince McMahon went to him and asked The Rock how he felt about WWE bringing Hulk Hogan back. Rock said that he then asked Vince how the locker room felt about WWE bringing Hogan back.

Vince told The Rock that he spoke to a few of the locker room leaders, and the response was mixed. The Great One responded by telling Vince that he loves the idea, and that he very selfishly wanted to wrestle Hulk Hogan.

The Chairman of the Board followed up by informing The Rock that he wanted him to face Hogan at WrestleMania.

The Rock also noted that he went to Vince and suggested that they bill the match as Icon vs. Icon and that the winner would go down as the greatest wrestler in history.

Hogan vs. Rock is considered by many to be one of the best matches in WrestleMania history, so in the end it looks like everything worked out for the best.
