Over two dozen wrestlers were released from WWE last week and now everyone is waiting to see where they will end up next. The Motor City Machine Guns were among the names who were released, and they are set to become free agents in July.
Fightful Select is reporting that TNA Wrestling sources spoke to Fightful and claimed that there will always be a home for the Motor City Machine Guns with the company, but the expectation is All Elite Wrestling will be the eventual landing spot for the former WWE Tag Team Champions. At this point in time there’s currently no word on whether or not AEW has been in contact with the duo.
Those in WWE who spoke to Fightful said that the Motor City Machine Guns seemed like they knew they would continue to do well and stay busy outside of WWE, and will continue to wrestle. It was also noted that the MCMG seemed like they hoped they would have wrestled more in WWE, but were happy they were at least being used. However, that slowed down in recent months, and there were no plans for them to travel to the SmackDown tapings last week.
All Elite Wrestling had interest in the Motor City Machine Guns back in 2024, but ultimately WWE matched the offer and they ended up signing with WWE instead.
