All Elite Wrestling first launched in 2019, and the roster has changed quite a bit since then. Many wrestlers have come and gone, and now it seems that two more names are officially done with the company.
Fightful Select is reporting that The Butcher and The Blade have parted ways with All Elite Wrestling. According to the report their contracts recently expire and AEW did not offer an extension. Both Butcher and Blade are now free agents and can work anywhere.
The Butcher and The Blade first debuted with AEW alongside The Bunny (Allie) in November of 2019. They were consistently used in the years that followed, but have not wrestled on AEW programming since the 1/3/2024 episode of Rampage. They last wrestled for ROH on the 1/10/2024 episode.
The two former AEW stars haven’t teamed up since 3/27 when they faced off against Bryce Donovan & Vinny Scalice at a Limitless Wrestling event in Portland, Maine. While The Butcher has not wrestled since then, The Blade has been active throughout the year and stepped into the ring last month to face Mathieu St-Jacques at C4 A Better Tomorrow.
Stay tuned for updates.
