Business has been picking up for the cruiserweight division over the past few months ever since Enzo Amore joined 205 Live, and the current Cruiserweight Champion has been making the show all about him.
With the focus on Enzo Amore, it seems that two other stars have gotten lost in the shuffle as Gran Metalik and TJ Perkins have basically disappeared.
PWInsider reports that the two cruiserweight stars aren’t dealing with injuries at the moment, but they have been sitting at home.
According to the report, WWE creative doesn’t have anything for them at the moment, so the decision was made to keep them at home until creative works them back into the mix rather than spend the money to fly them out and have them hang around backstage.
205 Live has been going through growing pains ever since the show first debuted, but WWE confirmed this week that the brand will be holding special live events early next year.
WWE recently announced the dates and locations for the events and they are as follows:
Friday, Jan. 19, 2018 – Kingston, RI – The Ryan Center
Saturday, Jan. 20, 2018 – Lowell, MA – Lowell Auditorium
Sunday, Jan. 21, 2018 – Poughkeepsie, NY – Mid Hudson Civic Center
Tickets for the events are set to go on sale on Friday, December 8.
