Travis Scott Reportedly Injured Cody Rhodes At Elimination Chamber

Elimination Chamber was a game changing event for the road to WrestleMania as John Cena turned heel and aligned himself with The Rock. Cena hit The American Nightmare with a low blow then he put Cody’s own watch on his fist and pummeled him with it.

At one point during the beatdown John Cena and Travis Scott were holding Cody Rhodes down so The Rock could whip him with the “Cody’s Soul” weight belt. Travis Scott proceeded to strike Cody in the face and it looks like Cody was legitimately injured during the segment.

Dave Meltzer recently discussed Cody’s status on Wrestling Observer Radio, and he noted that the Undisputed WWE Champion suffered a busted eardrum, and a black eye.

“Cody got hurt. I’m pretty sure it was Travis Scott that did it. I heard he had a busted eardrum and a black eye.”

Travis Scott’s involvement in John Cena’s heel turn has a been a hot topic among fans over the last few days, and it sounds like we haven’t seen the last of Travis as it was recently reported that he has been training inside the ring.

Cody Rhodes will be appearing on SmackDown this week, so we’ll have to wait and see what he has to say about the events that played out at Elimination Chamber and Travis Scott’s involvement.
