WWE live events are some of the most unpredictable shows in the world and it seems that Saturday night’s show in Portland, Maine lived up to this hype when an unidentified man died in the stands while Neville was facing off against Austin Aries.
The elderly man was at the event caring for another man with down syndrome and it was reported that he collapsed out of his chair and the ambulance service was unable to resuscitate him.
The paramedics arrived and moved the man to the nearest flat area and attempted CPR for 20 minutes before transferring him to the Maine Medical Centre where he was pronounced dead.
Many fans have taken to social media to describe the events that happened on Saturday night, WWE themselves have yet to make a comment about it. Witnesses stated that he was an elderly man who was seemingly in good health taking care of another younger man.
This is the first time a tragedy like this has happened at a WWE event, and ChunkTV on Twitter described what had happened that night in Portland to all of his Twitter followers.
It’s WrestleMania week, the biggest week of the wrestling calendar and also the week where Neville and Austin Aries will meet again with the Cruiserweight Championship on the line. Hopefully, the two stars put Saturday night’s events behind them and look forward to the biggest show of the year this weekend.
