It’s never fun when a wrestler gets injured, but it looks like one of Impact Wrestling’s top stars will be out of action for a while. PWInsider is reporting that former TNA World Heavyweight Champion Eddie Edwards was injured during the recent Impact tapings in Orlando, FL, and he’s set to undergo surgery on his knee.

As of right now there’s no word on how long Eddie Edwards will be out of action, but Pro Wrestling Revolver announced that Eddie has been pulled from their event in Iowa in May.

According to the tweet from Pro Wrestling Revolver, Eddie Edwards was injured by Davey Richards at the last set of tapings, and his surgery is scheduled for this week.

Pro Wrestling Revolver posted the following:

Eddie Edwards joined Impact Wrestling in 2014 when he debuted as one half of The Wolves with Davey Richards. Together The Wolves won the TNA World Tag Team Titles five times.

When Davey Richards went down with an injury, Edwards moved into singles competition where he managed to win the X-Division Championship twice.

In October of 2016, Eddie Edwards challenged Bobby Lashley for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship and he defeated Lashley to win the title.

Edwards held onto the title until Genesis where he dropped the belt back to Lashley in an Iron Man match.

From all of us here at Still Real To Us, best of luck to Eddie Edwards. Get well soon.
