Vince McMahon stepped down as WWE’s CEO in June of 2022 and later retired from WWE in July of 2022 amid allegations of sexual misconduct, but he later returned to the company in January of 2023. McMahon went on to sell the company to Endeavor and WWE later merged with UFC to form TKO. Currently Vince McMahon is the Executive Chairman of TKO.
Today a lawsuit was filed against Vince McMahon, WWE, and John Laurinaitis and the lawsuit accuses Vince McMahon of sex trafficking as well as sexual and emotional abuse. TKO issued a statement to Variety regarding the lawsuit and the statement reads as follows:
“Mr. McMahon does not control TKO nor does he oversee the day-to-day operations of WWE. While this matter predates our TKO executive team’s tenure at the company, we take Ms. Grant’s horrific allegations very seriously and are addressing this matter internally.”
There’s currently no word on what type of actions TKO will take in response to the lawsuit or if Vince will be removed from his position as Executive Chairman of TKO.
