On Thursday former WWE employee Janel Grant filed a lawsuit against Vince McMahon, WWE and John Laurinaitis which accuses Vince McMahon of sex trafficking, physical abuse and emotional abuse.

A spokesman for Vince McMahon issued a statement on the allegations to Deadline which reads as follows:

“This lawsuit is replete with lies, obscene made-up instances that never occurred, and a vindictive distortion of the truth. He will vigorously defend himself.”

As we previously reported TKO issued the following statement in response to the allegations:

“Mr. McMahon does not control TKO nor does he oversee the day-to-day operations of WWE. While this matter pre-dates our TKO executive team’s tenure at the company, we take Ms. Grant’s horrific allegations very seriously and are addressing this matter internally.”

Vince McMahon stepped down as CEO of WWE in June of 2022 following allegations of misconduct and later retired from the company completely in July of 2022. McMahon returned to WWE in January of 2023 to pursue a sale of the company and it was later announced that WWE would be acquired by Endeavor. In September of 2023 under the Endeavor umbrella WWE and UFC merged to form one publicly traded company now known as TKO.

There’s currently no word on whether or not Vince McMahon will continue to serve in his role as Executive Chairman of TKO.
