Last year Vince McMahon revealed that the XFL will be returning in 2020, and over the last few months the league has been making some big announcements regarding coaches and more.
Former Oklahoma University coach Bob Stoops was confirmed for the Dallas team, and last week Pep Hamilton was confirmed for the Washington D.C. team.
On Monday it was announced that former Seattle Seahawks quarterback, and Washington Redskins head coach, Jim Zorn will be the head coach and general manager of the XFL Seattle team.
A press conference was held in Seattle, and CEO Oliver Luck said the league has “significant capital” and he teased that they have TV deals lined up which will be announced soon.
Jim Zorn said he started to get excited when he understood Vince McMahon’s vision for the XFL. He said that there will be a few tweaks when it comes to the clock that will force players and coaches to get creative.
Zorn joked that Seattle already has 8 season ticket holders, and he said that he believes the community will support the team.
Coaches still have yet to be announced for the following cities:
New York – MetLife Stadium
Houston, Texas – TDECU Stadium
Los Angeles, California – StubHub Center (Carson, CA)
St. Louis, Missouri – The Dome at America’s Center
Tampa Bay, Florida – Raymond James Stadium
