AJ Styles is one top of the wrestling world right now, as he’s the current WWE Champion, and he’s set to defend his title against John Cena in a high profile match at the Royal Rumble. But outside of the ring the WWE Champion recently ran into a little bit of trouble when a thief decided to claim AJ’s belongings as their own.
KAIT out of Jonesboro, AR is reporting that a thief stole AJ’s bag while he was in town for the WWE live event Monday night at the Convocation Center. According to the report the bag contained $1,000 in American currency, $7,000 in Japanese currency, an iPhone, a set of Beats headphones, a small TV along with an Xbox 360 and six games for the console.
The case is said to still be under investigation, and the police denied a request to release more information.
This certainly isn’t the first unfortunate incident to happen to AJ Styles at a WWE live event. Back in November the WWE Champion was locked out of his car after the keys got locked in the trunk following a SmackDown taping in New Jersey.

Hopefully AJ’s bad luck doesn’t continue at the Royal Rumble on Sunday, January 29th, because it’s one thing to lose your money, Xbox and headphones, but one would have to imagine that losing the WWE Championship would be a whole lot worse.
I hate thieves.
