The Undertaker Explains Why He Never Went To UFC

Over the years a number of professional wrestlers have made the jump to MMA. Some names like Brock Lesnar, Bobby Lashley and Jake Hager have managed to achieve success in the MMA world while others have not.

During the Monday Night Wars era there was a lot of uncertainty about WWE’s future when WCW was beating the company in the ratings on a weekly basis. A number of wrestlers switched companies during this time, and The Undertaker recently revealed on Busted Open Radio that he actually gave some thought to a potential UFC run.

“Honestly, this is what a lot of people don’t know. UFC is coming up big at this point. They’re growing. If I had an amateur wrestling background. There is a good chance I would have tested those waters.”

“I felt like I would have been able to get my stand up on point. I have no idea, I might get my a** smashed. At this time, you have to understand the immense pressure that I’m under. I have a family. If I had an amateur background, a base, something to base my whole thing off of, I probably would have tested those waters.”
