The Rock returned to seemingly set up a WrestleMania match with Roman Reigns back in February, but the situation has taken a different course in recent weeks. The Great One is now The Final Boss and he has firmly established himself as a member of The Bloodline.

During his segments on WWE programming in recent weeks Rock has been presenting an edgier version of his character that often uses profanity. Some fans have compared his recent segments to the Attitude Era, but The Rock recently explained to ESPN that he has a different name for WWE’s current era.

“A lot of people have called this, ‘Oh, the Attitude Era is back.’ What I have called this era, excuse my language, the F**k That Era. That’s what this means and that’s what the Final Boss means. You expect me to do one thing, you think it’s got to be like this, well f**k that, I’m not doing it like that. The Final Boss isn’t doing it like that.

What’s also interesting is, what we have found is, the reason why people have gravitated towards Rock 10.0, Final Boss is, I’m able to say things that people want to say, that they can’t say. Let the Final Boss say it.”

The Rock will be in action this weekend as he’s set to team with Roman Reigns to face Cody Rhodes & Seth Rollins in the main event of WrestleMania 40 night one. If The Rock and Roman Reigns win then Roman’s title match with Cody on night two will be contested under Bloodline rules.
