Cody Rhodes returned to WWE at WrestleMania 38 back in 2022 and he has since become one of the top stars in the company. The American Nightmare has had to work with Triple H since returning which is notable because while Cody was away from WWE he infamously smashed a throne that resembled something Triple H would use.
However, it seems that all is well between Triple H and Cody Rhodes as Rhodes noted during an appearance on the MMA Hour that The Game has been an incredible mentor to him since he returned to WWE.
“I’m shocked to say that [things with Levesque are great]. I guess I’m not shocked [but] I never anticipated when we did the breaking of the throne, I think I said, ‘p***ant bodybuilder’ at one point, all in the spirit of trash talk in sports entertainment.”
“We take this stuff personally. It gets under our skin. He really had no reason to take care of me and he has just been an incredible guide [and] and incredible mentor. If I was to continue [in pro wrestling after he retires] and it was in a backstage environment, I’d like to perhaps follow in those footsteps.”
