Steve Austin is a WWE Hall of Famer and arguably the most popular WWE Superstar of all time. But Austin’s in ring career was put to rest years ago, and ever since then WWE has been trying to find the next big star.
John Cena has been holding down the top spot for well over a decade now, but now that Cena’s star is on the rise in Hollywood, the torch has been passed to Roman Reigns.
Roman Reigns and John Cena are set to face off at the No Mercy pay-per-view in a few weeks, and Monday night on Raw they met in the ring for a contract signing. Cena and Reigns went back and forth on the mic for quite a while, and everyone’s been talking about the promo because it blurred the lines between reality and kayfabe.
Austin recently shared his thoughts on the promo during an episode of X-Pac 12360, and the WWE Hall of Famer says it was an opportunity for Roman Reigns to learn something new.
“Anytime you go out to the ring and you didn’t learn something new, you probably missed an opportunity. I don’t care how good you are, you can always get better. So, if Roman learned something from that and he can capitalize on it and gain and improve in the future, props to him.”
Steve Austin also had nothing but praise for Breezango and he noted that he enjoys watching the Fashion Files.
“Fandango and Tyler Breeze together… and all of a sudden they put the Fashion Files out and I am like, when I watch Raw those guys, they crack me up. I’ll rewind their s–t, I don’t know how many times.”
