As we mentioned recently, WWE was set to make an announcement in regards to the fate of the WWE World Heavyweight Championship today on Raw.
It appears that Stephanie McMahon has made the announcement during the Raw tapings that as a reaction to Daniel Bryan having to be out to recover from neck surgery, Bryan has been stripped of the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. No other details pertaining to the fate of the title were mentioned.
UPDATE: We’ve just received a message from someone who’s currently at the tapings and he says Stephanie said she WON’T strip Daniel Bryan of the title but that he must show up on Raw next week and surrender it.
I read elsewhere, something different. what i read was that she stated she is NOT stripping him of the championship. BUT next week he has to show up and surrender it. I doubt thats how it will play out. I bet next week he comes out and states he will be cleared as of *enter date* and he will remain champion. only time will tell.
What a load of bull, not the article just the decision.
Not once in recent memory have the E enforced the old ’30 day no compete’ rule but this just seems the case. I hope they have an interim champ, so when D Bry does come back that sets up a fued for both belts. Poor guy just has no luck whatsover.
