It’s going to be a big weekend for AEW fans as the annual Full Gear pay-per-view is set to air live on Saturday night. Tony Khan recently announced that “one of the best wrestlers on the planet” will be signing an AEW contract during the show, and fans have been trying to figure out who AEW’s newest signee could be.
Some fans have speculated on social media that Mercedes Mone could be joining AEW on Saturday night, but Fightful Select is reporting that people in the company have indicated Mercedes signing a contract is not part of AEW’s plan for Full Gear. However, there was talk as far back as August that Mercedes and AEW had plans to work together.
Mercedes Mone appeared on camera at AEW All In back in August as she was shown watching the event from the crowd. There were rumors that Mercedes could appear at Grand Slam, but that was never in the plans.
Due to her injury Mercedes had been wearing a boot which she is reportedly no longer wearing. There are working plans for Mercedes to do something with AEW at some point, it’s just not known when that might happen.
