After weeks of anticipation SummerSlam weekend is finally here and the two night event is set to kick off tonight in Minneapolis, Minnesota. A number of big names are expected to be at the show and an absent WWE star has been spotted ahead of the event.
Fightful Select is reporting that Kevin Owens is in Minnesota ahead of SummerSlam this weekend. It was noted that Owens has photo ops scheduled, and it’s also being said that Owens made efforts to appear on screen for WWE earlier this year.
At this point in time it’s not clear if Kevin Owens will be making an appearance at SummerSlam, but he is in town ahead of the two night event at US Bank Stadium.
Kevin Owens has been sidelined for well over a year as he revealed on the road to WrestleMania 41 that he was dealing with a career threatening neck injury. Owens had to be pulled from his scheduled match with Randy Orton at WrestleMania, and he later underwent surgery during the summer of last year.
It was recently reported that the expectation is Kevin Owens will be returning to WWE soon. However, and exact date for his return is unknown as of right now.
