For the past few months fans have been under the impression that Shaq vs. Big Show was a sure thing for WrestleMania 33. However, the match has been shrouded in doubt over the past few weeks after Big Show publicly said that he felt Shaq was trying to pull out of the match.
Shaq later announced on his podcast that talks with WWE had hit a roadblock, and he also said that if the match doesn’t happen, it won’t be his fault. But it looks like Shaq has changed his tune, as PWInsider reports that he mentioned discussions are back on during the latest episode of his podcast.
“I’ve talked to somebody high up in the organization, and they – we’re back talking again. I just want the people to know it had nothing to do with me, despite what you hear.”
Big Show hasn’t been shy about letting the world know that he thinks Shaq is afraid of him, but Shaq says that he hasn’t been keeping up with Show’s recent comments.
“No, I haven’t seen them. We talked yesterday. I didn’t know that. I’m going to see you. I’m not worried about it Big Show. I’m going to see you. The world ain’t that big for me not to see you.”
At this point in time the match still has yet to be confirmed, but it looks like Shaq is ready for action, if he can work out a deal with WWE.
