CM Punk hasn’t appeared on WWE programming since the Raw after WrestleMania and recently a number of rumors have been circulating regarding his absence from television.
Some of the rumors making the rounds are claiming that CM Punk is unhappy with WWE, and that the Second City Saint requested to be released from the company. However, those rumors have been shot down.
PWInsider is reporting that they spoke to a trusted source at WWE about the CM Punk rumors whose only comment was, “It has as much truth to it as the stories that claimed Saudi Arabia bought us years ago.”
It was noted that the source was not aware of the reasons why CM Punk has been off television, there is new merchandise being put together and CM Punk appearances are set for this summer.
As of this writing WWE has yet to make any type of announcements regarding when he will return, but CM Punk is currently being advertised for the July 6th episode of Monday Night Raw in Chicago. Prior to his absence Punk teased a potential title match with Cody Rhodes on the Raw after WrestleMania.
