WWE recently announced the return of the King and Queen of the Ring tournaments and they both kicked off this week on Monday Night Raw with two fatal four way matches.
In the first tournament match of the night Liv Morgan, Roxanne Perez, Kairi Sane and Rhea Ripley faced off in the ring. Ahead of the match Roxanne Perez suggested to Liv Morgan that they should work together, but Liv rejected her offer.
Despite Liv turning her down Roxanne Perez still went out of her way to help Liv Morgan throughout the match. Liv eventually gave in and started working with Perez to try and take out Ripley and Sane.
Near the end of the match Rhea Ripley hit Roxanne Perez with a headbutt, and Liv went for Oblivion while Rhea was distracted. However, Rhea blocked it and connected with Riptide. As the referee was counting the pin Raquel Rodriguez pulled Rhea out of the ring and they started brawling. Kairi Sane then jumped off the top and took out Rhea and Raquel.
Kairi Sane when to the top rope again while Liv was out. She connected with the Insane Elbow on Liv Morgan then pinned her. Perez broke up the pin, but then pinned Kairi Sane herself to win the match.
Roxanne Perez will now go on to face the winner of Jade Cargill vs. Michin vs. Piper Niven vs. Nia Jax in the semifinals of the Queen of the Ring tournament. Stay tuned for updates.
