Nowadays Roman Reigns, Jon Moxley and Seth Rollins are three of the most successful singles stars in the professional wrestling business, but there was once a time when they were working together as a unit, trying to make a name for themselves as The Shield.
It’s been a few years since fans have seen The Shield together as Jon Moxley parted ways with WWE in 2019 and joined All Elite Wrestling shortly after. Fans haven’t forgotten about The Shield, but whether or not they’ll ever reunite someday remains to be seen.
Roman Reigns recently spoke with Peter Rosenberg of Hot 97, and he not only shot down the idea of a Shield reunion, but he also explained his reasons for not wanting to get the group back together.
“No. I have respect for everything we did now. A lot of that time was really pivotal for me to learn and gain experience. Be around other performers. See their processes and how they attack things and how they think about things. But where I am at now it’s a one-man show. I have the family dynamic with my cousins but at the same time, I call the shots. It’s my thumb that’s down on this pole. So yeah, I don’t think I can share it anymore.”
