You never know what you’re going to see when you tune into WWE programming as anything can happen at any time. Fans who tuned into Raw on February 2, 1998 saw one of the most infamous moments on the show’s history when the New Age Outlaws locked Cactus Jack (Mick Foley) and Chainsaw Charlie (Terry Funk) inside a dumpster then pushed it off the stage.
Recently Road Dogg appeared on Insight with Chris Van Vliet and he talked about the rehearsal for the segment. The former WWE Tag Team Champion noted that the spot wasn’t rehearsed with Foley and Funk in the dumpster, but with Vince McMahon instead.
“We didn’t rehearse with them in the dumpster, but we rehearsed with Vince in the dumpster. Yep, that’s a true story, and I’ll say this about him. He would never ask anybody to do something that he wouldn’t do himself. That’s the truth.”
“Look, there were boxes and padding in there, and they drilled handles in there so they could hold it. We did the top down so the top wouldn’t open, so their hand wouldn’t go out or nothing. We made it as safe as possible. But then two humans just got pushed off the off the edge. And it wasn’t a huge drop, but it’s far enough to where you’re gonna hit, you’re in a crash.”
Road Dogg also talked about what his relationship was like with Triple H after he returned to WWE, and you can get more details on that here.
