The WWE roster is stacked with talent right now, but there appears to be some frustration in the women’s division. Several women on the WWE roster spoke to Fightful Select and noted that there’s a lack of focus on developing contenders, the tag team division, and television time for women who aren’t at the top of the division. This was said to have been specifically in comparison to NXT as main roster talent have noticed how much screen time talent in NXT get.
Redundant storylines with the same talent being featured at the top of the card, and in the mid-card title scene were also an issue that was brought up.
People who spoke on the subject noted that they are happy for the talent who get screen time, and don’t want it to be taken away, but also feel that the company should give others more time in addition to the people who are already being featured.
People also pointed to Sonya Deville recently getting cut while she was negotiating a new deal as something that didn’t instill confidence when they aren’t being used by WWE.
Several people have been told that their time is coming, and to be patient when asking about creative plans. It was noted that overall the frustration doesn’t reflect the entirety of the division, but it has been echoed by numerous talent.
