John Cena punched his ticket to WrestleMania on Saturday night when he won the men’s Elimination Chamber match. Cena then proceeded to turn heel after the match when he attacked Cody Rhodes and aligned himself with The Rock.
It’s no big secret that John Cena is on a quest to win his 17th WWE World Championship as he’s currently tied with Ric Flair as each have 16 world title wins. Previously Ric Flair had said he has no issue with John Cena breaking his record, but it appears that Flair does not agree with the way Cena is going about things.
Following John Cena’s heel turn The Nature Boy took to social media to declare that he will fight his way through security to prevent Cena from taking the Undisputed WWE Championship away from Cody Rhodes when he posted the following:
“It’s Been 25 Years Since I Won My Last, 16th World Championship, According To The @WWE. Blood, Sweat, And Tears! Harley Race, Bruiser Brody, Terry Funk, Dusty Rhodes, Brett Hart, Undertaker, Ricky Steamboat. The List Is Endless Of World Class Opponents. Unparalleled! My 1984 Schedule Has Actually Been Called Impossible To Perform. 60 & 90 Minute Matches! Let’s Get Serious! @JohnCena, I Love You And Respect You, But You Ain’t Taking Nothing From @CodyRhodes! If I Have To Fight My Way Through Security To Hit The Ring, I Will. I’ll Take The Day Off Of Blood Thinners. Let’s Do This!”
The stage is now set for WrestleMania 41 as John Cena will go on to challenge Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship. Business has certainly picked up on the road to WrestleMania, so it will be interesting to see where things go from here.
