Last week WWE shocked the world when the company released a number of talents from the main roster and NXT. Braun Strowman was one of the more surprising names who got cut as the former Universal Champion was originally released in 2021, only to be brought back in 2022.

During a recent episode of Sportskeeda’s WrestleBinge, Bill Apter noted that WWE didn’t intend to use Braun Strowman full-time when he returned to the company in 2022, and he could potentially return at some point in the future.

“I think that this time around, they never envisioned him as a full-time, long storyline player. I don’t want use the term filler but just a good-hand to have around to get the excitement going and maybe put some guys over which he did. But nothing that they were planning on for a long period and I don’t know if he actually wanted to be part of this for long periods of time.

“I heard that it was not an angry break, and if they call him six months or a year down the road, ‘We need you for three or four months,’ he’d be willing to do it again.”
