The WWE roster has changed quite a bit throughout 2026 as a number of names have parted ways with the company. A number of former WWE stars have also returned to the company, and it’s been rumored for months now that Enzo Amore could be making his way back to WWE.
Now PWInsider is reporting that the belief among some in WWE is that Enzo Amore signed a new contract with the company within the last week. One source noted that Enzo could be heading to NXT.
This is certainly not the first time that Enzo has been rumored for the NXT brand as it was also reported back in May that there were plans for the former Cruiserweight Champion to join NXT.
Talk of Enzo’s rumored return picked up in a big way back in August when Big Cass made his return to the Monday Night Raw. Despite the success he had when he was paired up with Enzo, WWE has been trying to establish Cass as a singles act on the Raw brand. If WWE does indeed send Enzo to NXT then it would seem that the company doesn’t have any plans to reunite him with Big Cass in the near future.
Enzo Amore originally signed with WWE in 2012 and remained with the company for several years until he was released in 2018. Since parting ways with WWE, Enzo has wrestled for a variety of different companies.
