WrestleMania is WWE’s biggest show of the year, and although the event is still months away fans are already talking about potential main events for the show. Roman Reigns has main evented WrestleMania 11 times, and it looks like he could be adding another WrestleMania main event to his resume next year.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that the belief is WWE is building toward a Roman Reigns vs. Oba Femi match at WrestleMania 43 with the idea being that it will main event night two of the Show of Shows.
Nick Khan recently claimed that creative for WrestleMania has been figured out when he said, “It’s never been outside of the US or Canada. It’s going to be in Riyadh. It’s going to be a significant show. We’re already across the creative. Of course that’s subject to any injury… we’re already across the creative.
“And in addition to that, we announced two shows from the MSG Theater. WrestleMania Saturday will have a watchalong party followed by either NXT or AAA. And the next day, MSG Theater, a watchalong party, followed by either NXT or AAA, whichever one didn’t go on the Saturday night. So, we’re also going to do viewing parties and all of these things from the US and other countries. We think, ultimately, the fans will go home happy.”
Oba Femi has become one of the fastest rising stars in WWE but he has mostly been kept away from Roman Reigns. The Ruler won the King of the Ring tournament months ago but decided to give up his title shot so that he could face Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam.
Currently Femi is feuding with The Vision, but if this report is correct it looks like he could be shifting into a feud with The Tribal Chief when WrestleMania season rolls around.
