For years Paige was known as a WWE superstar, but she parted ways with the company a few years ago and decided to sign with All Elite Wrestling in 2022.
During her run with the company she managed to win the AEW Women’s Championship at the All In pay-per-view at Wembley Stadium and was positioned as a top star in the women’s division for some time. However, Paige finished up with AEW in March of 2025 and earlier this year she returned to WWE when she and Brie Bella won the Women’s Tag Team Championship at WrestleMania.
Recently Paige discussed her WWE run on the Nikki & Brie Show live from Fanatics Fest, and she admitted that her heart wasn’t in it, as she considers herself to be a WWE girl.
“Well, I did go to AEW, and I did have a great time there, but my heart wasn’t in it. I feel like you could see that in my performance when I was in the ring and in my character. It was just like, ‘I’m a WWE girl, man.’ I love WWE.”
“So, yeah, I went there for a couple of years, and then we went our separate ways. It ended really, really great, and I have nothing but love when it comes to AEW and Tony [Khan] and stuff like that.”
“But when it comes to WWE, that’s just where I’ve wanted to be forever. I’ve been there since I was 18 years old. I gave my neck for this company, you know? I grew up here.”
Unfortunately for Paige & Brie Bella their run with the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship came to an end over the weekend as Fallon Henley & Lainey Reid defeated them to become the new champions at Saturday Night’s Main Event.
