WrestleMania 40 has come and gone, but the show featured some huge moments that fans will surely be talking about for years to come. Cody Rhodes challenged Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship during the night two main event which included surprise appearances from some of the biggest names in WWE history.

At one point John Cena made his way out to attack Solo Sikoa and then The Rock entered the ring. The Final Boss hit John Cena with the Rock Bottom which was followed up by Seth Rollins entering the ring in his Shield gear. Roman Reigns quickly took out Seth Rollins, but then the lights went out, and when they came back on The Undertaker choke slammed The Rock.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that Steve Austin was originally earmarked for The Undertaker’s spot at WrestleMania 40. In the end the two sides couldn’t reach a financial agreement, so The Undertaker was put in Austin’s place.

Steve Austin shocked the world a few years ago when he came out of retirement to face Kevin Owens at WrestleMania 38 and the former WWE Champion picked up a big win over Kevin Owens in the night one main event. At this point there’s currently no word on when we could see another appearance from Austin on WWE programming in the future.
