The Dark Order has been trying to recruit new members since the inception of All Elite Wrestling, and they’ve recently had an ominous presence on AEW programming.
Recently it’s been teased that a leader will be revealed, and there are a lot of rumors going around in regards to who it could be.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, original plans called for Marty Scurll to be the leader of the Dark Order.
The idea was for the Marty Scurll reveal to take place during the beatdown on the 12/18 episode of AEW Dynamite from Corpus Christi.
However, ROH offered Marty Scurll WWE main roster money to work 40 dates a year, so ultimately he ended up staying with Ring of Honor.
