Bray Wyatt was pulled from TV ahead of WrestleMania 39 and it was later reported that the former Universal Champion was sidelined due to an illness. Fans had been patiently waiting for the return of Bray Wyatt, but last month it was announced that Wyatt had unfortunately passed away.

Fans all around the world are still grieving while wondering what could have been in regard to Bray Wyatt’s future in wrestling, and Ted DiBiase recently claimed on his Everybody’s Got A Pod podcast that Bray was supposed to return in September.

“Windham was a great kid, he really was. They were just getting ready to go back, they were supposed to start again in September and start up something new. Now he’s gone.”

Ted DiBiase also talked a little bit about what it was like to attend Bray Wyatt’s funeral when he added, “I got on a plane, I flew to Tampa, and I went to his funeral. It was sad, it really was. I talked to Mike [Rotunda] briefly, obviously, he was happy I was there. Shane McMahon was there, somebody told me that they saw Stephanie and Triple H, and you know, I was like, I don’t know how I would have missed that. I guess anything was possible.”

Bray Wyatt last wrestled on TV when he defeated LA Knight at the Royal Rumble premium live event back in January. It was rumored that he was set to face Bobby Lashley at WrestleMania, but that match unfortunately didn’t end up happening due to Wyatt being sidelined.
