The New Day are the longest reigning WWE Tag Team Champions of all time, and they completely dominated the division in 2016. However, things have calmed down for The New Day since they dropped the belts, and they haven’t really been involved in any big feuds as of late.

Unfortunately for The New Day, Kofi Kingston was recently injured and had to undergo surgery, so he’ll be sitting on the sidelines for a few weeks. WWE officials have decided to keep Big E and Xavier Woods on the sidelines as well, because they want the group to be complete when Kofi is healthy enough to return.
Recently The New Day were moved to SmackDown Live in the Superstar Shake-up, but they have yet to appear on the show. WWE has been airing promo packages hyping up the group’s arrival on the blue brand, and it sounds like they have big plans for New Day when they finally return to action.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the current plan is for The New Day to feud with SmackDown Live Tag Team Champions The Usos when they return. New Day vs. The Usos will be the main tag team program on SmackDown Live, with American Alpha vs. The Colons as the secondary program.
